Bar Staff

About the Role:
We are seeking a local, friendly and experienced Bar Staff member to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Handle cash and card payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all workstations are fully stocked.
• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and provide support during busy periods.
• Ensure all customer concerns and queries are addressed promptly.
• Manage opening and closing the bar/pub as and when required following standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in bar or hospitality roles is required.
• Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
• Available to work evenings and weekends, such as during unsociable hours.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations is a plus.
• Be local to the area, and looking for long term employment that includes holidays such as summer time and Christmas.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 22.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Gloucester GL1 2PX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

• Hospitality: 4 years (required)
• customer Service: 4 years (required)
• Bartending: 4 years (required)
