Severn View, a Grade II listed boutique hotel in Worcester, is in the middle of a comprehensive refurbishment led by an experienced boutique hospitality company. It is an exciting time to join: you will help shape the bar and restaurant from the start and play a real part in an inspiring project.

we are building our team to manage ou barr and restaurant floor at Severn View Hotel, a 12-room hotel, and covers the later shifts through to the 10pm close. The role is 40 hours a week and reports to the Bar and Restaurant Manager, Mark Seymour. You lead the shift when he is off and, depending on how the kitchen is staffed, support or cover breakfast service from 7:30am.

The Opportunity

Hours:

The job is full or part time, across seven days between 7:30am and 10pm, weekends included. The venue is open 101.5 hours a week, and you are one of the team who cover them.

• Uphold cleanliness, safety and hygiene standards across the bar area at all times
• Change barrels, prepare drinks and operate bar equipment to a high standard
• Act on guest feedback and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally
• Work closely with kitchen staff and the wider management team to coordinate seamless service
• Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, age-verification procedures and all bar safety requirements
• Support the financial performance of the bar through cost-conscious stock management and responsible cash handling

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in a bar, pub or hotel
• Practical bar skills: confident preparing drinks, operating equipment and changing barrels
• Sound knowledge of licensing laws, age-verification and bar safety requirements
• A friendly, confident manner and a genuine pride in great customer service
• Clear communication, comfortable working across bar team, kitchen and management
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays; weekend work is required

Pay: £12.80-£13.00 per hour
