Bar Supervisor

Job Summary

The Salty Dog Bar & Grill is seeking a dependable and experienced Bar Supervisor to help lead daily bar operations and support a high-quality guest experience. This position will assist with staff supervision, beverage service, inventory, shift coordination, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bartenders and bar staff during assigned shifts.
• Help coordinate opening, closing, and daily bar procedures.
• Monitor beverage inventory and communicate ordering needs to management.
• Ensure drinks are prepared and served consistently and efficiently.
• Support staff with guest requests, service concerns, and problem resolution.
• Assist with training new bartenders and reinforcing service standards.
• Monitor cash handling and help maintain accurate shift records.
• Keep the bar stocked, clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Help control beverage waste and maintain appropriate product levels.
• Ensure staff follow responsible alcohol-service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
• Support management with special events, promotions, and high-volume shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending, bar supervision, or restaurant leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of beverage and bar-service operations.
• Excellent communication and team-leadership skills.
• Ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy bar-and-grill environment.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

About The Company

The Salty Dog Bar & Grill is an Omaha bar and grill located at 3401 S 72nd St. The restaurant offers a casual dining and bar atmosphere with food and beverage service and extended evening hours.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 per week
