Mad Monkey Jungle is an award-winning accommodation provider with on-site bar catering primarily for the international backpacker community.

Currently we have a vacancy for a Bar Supervisor to join our team; due to the nature of our business a strong preference will be given to candidates that speak multiple languages.

Lead a team of bartenders and glassys at a busy on-site bar

Hire, train and develop new staff

Manage Rosters to a given budget

Ensure compliance and quality standards are met with relation to RSA and local guidelines

Stock Management - ordering, stock takes, database maintenance etc.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers

Maintain a safe environment identifying problem clients and having them removed

Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department

Work alongside maintenance team to ensure bar is well maintained

Day-to-day bar duties; serving customers, mixing drinks, clearing tables, etc.

Essential Criteria

At least 2 year’s work experience as a Bar Supervisor or similar

Experience in working for a youth tourism brandHigh level of customer service skills, excellent communication & effective time managementAvailability to work various shifts including weekends on a rolling rosterThe ability to multitask

The ability to stand for extended periods of time

Hold a valid Queensland RSA, RMLV and Approved Manager certificates or be willing to attain them.

Preferred Skills

Multilingual - european languages preferred

Full Time

Salary Scale: $65,000-$75,000 per year Dependant on level of experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
