Bar Supervisor

Overview

Aioli Restaurant is a vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired dining destination in the heart of Birtley, Gateshead. Known for our warm atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and exceptional service, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for every guest. We also have our sister bar along the road which will require cover at times, this fun bar serves great beer, classic cocktails and top quality wine. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated bar supervisor to join our team and help lead our front-of-house operations.

The Role:

As bar supervisor, you’ll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, motivating the team, and upholding our high standards. This is a hands-on role that’s perfect for someone with a love of hospitality and a flair for leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations
• Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues professionally
• Help manage stock control, orders and maintainance of the bar and storage areas
• Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met
• Support in financial tasks including budgets, targets, and cost control

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
• Passion for food, drink, and great service
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
