Bar Supervisor

We’re on the lookout for a Bar Supervisor to join the team at The Black Dog Beer House,

a busy, well-loved craft beer pub in Brentford, West London.

We’ve built a great reputation for quality food, top-notch beer, and a genuinely friendly atmosphere, and we’re looking for someone who can help us keep that going.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be right in the middle of the action — leading shifts, supporting the team, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the bar and on the floor.

You’ll be working closely with the Assistant Manager and owners, so we’re looking for someone who’s reliable, proactive, and happy to take ownership when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Running shifts and keeping service flowing smoothly
• Opening/closing the pub when needed
• Supporting and motivating the team during busy services
• Keeping standards high across service, cleanliness, and atmosphere
• Working closely with kitchen and bar teams
• Delivering great customer service and building rapport with regulars

What We’re Looking For

• Previous supervisory experience in a busy pub or similar environment essential
• Good knowledge of craft beer and real ales
• Bonus points for wine knowledge, but not essential.
• Cellar experience including: Changing kegs & casks/ Cleaning lines/Basic gas system knowledge
• Comfortable working in a venue with a strong food trade
• Someone who stays calm under pressure and gets stuck in during busy times
• Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers
• A team player who can also take initiative
• Someone who is Hospitality focused, genuinely enjoys the trade wants to be part of the industry.

Other Bits

• Personal Licence is a plus, but not essential

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
