Bar Supervisor

About the role:
Joe Joe Jim’s isn’t your average bar.

We’re an independently family-run venue with a good selection of wines spirits and 5 constantly rotating craft ales, IPAs, stouts, and pale ales. Somewhere refreshingly different.

We’re now looking for a Bar Supervisor to add to join our small but mighty team — someone who’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and behind the bar.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading by example during busy shifts and serving behind the bar
• Assisting with weekly staff rota planning
• Supporting and assisting with staff training
• Stock management and placing orders (especially for our 5 rotating beer taps)
• Handling invoices and cash
• Helping coordinate private events (birthdays, wakes, etc.)
• Occasionally covering basic kitchen duties when needed (training provided)
• Developing and implementing innovative cocktail menus
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the bar and cellar areas.
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations as well as licensing laws.
• Working closely with the owners and managers to ensure high standards are maintained
• To maintain high standards of presentation and levels of customer service

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience in senior supervisory roles
• Who leads with confidence and thrives during busy service
• Understands and appreciates ales, craft beer, and cellar management
• Is well-organised and detail-focused
• Is personable, reliable, and a great team player
• Has strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Has excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service excellence
• Wants to be part of a venue with genuine community spirit
