Bar Supervisor

The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, supervising bartenders and bar staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves coordinating staff schedules, maintaining beverage quality, managing inventory, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and responsible alcohol service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily bar operations and beverage-service activities.
• Lead, support, and motivate bartenders and bar staff.
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift assignments, and break times.
• Train new employees on beverage preparation and service standards.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, professional, and attentive service.
• Handle customer questions, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Monitor beverage inventory, stock levels, and supply requirements.
• Assist with purchasing beverages, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Monitor beverage costs and implement waste-reduction practices.
• Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and payment processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar counters, glassware, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol-service practices and applicable regulations.
• Verify customer identification and age when legally required.
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and restaurant management.
• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support beverage promotions, special events, and sales initiatives.
• Oversee bar opening, closing, restocking, and shift handover procedures.
• Maintain inventory records and report operational issues to management.
• Help improve service efficiency, teamwork, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous bartending or hospitality experience.
• Bar supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.
• Excellent leadership and team-coordination skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service abilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Understanding of beverage inventory and cost control.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced bar environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
