Bar Team Member

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and motivated Bar Team Member to join the team at The Greyhound, Derby.

We are looking for someone who is fun, hard working and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a positive environment, high standards and a memorable experience for our guests.

Previous experience is essential for this role.

Duties

• Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and responsibly to customers at the bar
• Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments with precision
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
• Restock supplies and ensure all bar equipment is functioning correctly
• Provide friendly and attentive service, addressing customer queries promptly
• Adhere to licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times
• Assist in setting up for events or special functions as required
• Promote special offers or new products to enhance customer experience

Experience

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is essential
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly can-do attitude are essential
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and licensing laws is advantageous
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed
• A positive team player with organisational skills and attention to detail

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
