Bar Waitress

Job Summary

The Bar Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional beverage and guest service in the hotel bar and lounge areas. The role involves taking orders, serving beverages and snacks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable experience while adhering to the hotel's service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly, and professional service.
• Present beverage menus and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the bar team.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards.
• Ensure tables, bar counters, and service areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Process guest bills and payments accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, promotions, and special events.
• Assist in setting up and closing the bar area according to operational procedures.
• Comply with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Work closely with bartenders, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
• Upsell beverages and menu items to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
• Restock service items, glassware, and supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bar Waitress, Waitress, or Food & Beverage Service Staff in a hotel, restaurant, or bar environment is preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and spirits is an advantage.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
