Barback and Bartender

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and alcohol service regulations
• Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and ingredients to ensure seamless service
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bar cleaning, washing glassware, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
• Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes to keep the venue tidy and inviting
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, kegs, or crates safely and efficiently
• Support food preparation when needed, including basic garnishing or snack setup for patrons
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for cash handling and order processing
• Ensure compliance with all food service bar safety standards and alcohol regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate venue beverage service during busy hours
• Assist in venue setup for events such as banquets or catering functions to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, bartending, or hospitality environments preferred; nightclub or banquet experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with food industry standards related to food service bar safety compliance
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Experience in cleaning, bussing tables, and maintaining a tidy bar environment required
• Previous venue beverage service experience is highly desirable; restaurant or catering background is beneficial
