Barback

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Barback to join our vibrant beverage team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of the bar operation, supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and ready for service. Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to keep the bar fully prepared for service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area through regular cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces, glassware, and tools in compliance with safety standards.
• Support with bussing and clearing tables or bar seats to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while following proper safety procedures.
• Assist in food preparation or food service at the bar when needed, including basic garnishing or snack setup.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling and order processing.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service and address guest needs promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred; experience with bar environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of food industry safety standards, including bar safety compliance and food handling practices.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests.
• Experience with Micros POS or similar systems is advantageous.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn about beverage service, food prep, and venue operations.
