Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Barback/Food Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will support the front-of-house team by ensuring the bar and dining areas are clean, well-stocked, and ready for service. You’ll be the backbone of smooth food and beverage delivery, assisting servers and bartenders with food running, replenishing supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized environment. This position offers a lively atmosphere where your proactive attitude and excellent communication skills will shine, contributing to a vibrant hospitality experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders and servers by delivering food and beverages promptly to tables, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness in the bar and dining areas through regular cleaning, bussing tables, and organizing supplies.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, stock replenishment, and equipment setup following safe lifting practices.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food handling, preparation assistance, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
• Manage in-person guest interactions with friendly customer service, addressing needs quickly and professionally.
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders when necessary.
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food running and handling tasks to uphold health standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus.
• Strong cleaning skills with attention to sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform bussing duties efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests courteously.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques.
• Prior banquet or hospitality experience is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for guest service is essential.
