Barback/Bartender

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure seamless service during busy hours
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area through regular cleaning, bar cleaning, and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety standards
• Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to keep the venue tidy and inviting
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, bottles, and equipment safely and efficiently
• Support food preparation activities when needed, including basic garnishing or snack setup for patrons
• Operate POS systems (Point of Sale) like Micros POS or similar to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Ensure venue beverage service meets safety standards by adhering to alcohol service regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
• Assist with catering or banquet setups when required, supporting large events with timely service and setup

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in bar or catering settings
• Familiarity with bar experience including bartending duties such as mixing drinks, cash handling, and customer interaction
• Knowledge of food industry safety standards and bar safety compliance is highly desirable
• Experience with POS systems (such as Toast or similar) for order processing and transaction management
• Strong communication skills to engage confidently with guests and team members
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for billing and inventory purposes
• Physical ability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and quick movement around the venue
