Barback(Costa Pacifica)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Barback to support bartenders and ensure smooth bar operations. The Barback is responsible for stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic bar tasks so bartenders can focus on guest service. The ideal candidate is energetic, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Restock bar supplies including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
• Assist bartenders with drink preparation support as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping surfaces, removing trash, and cleaning spills.
• Wash and polish glassware and bar equipment.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to bartenders or management.
• Remove empty bottles, trash, and recyclables from bar areas.
• Assist in keeping storage areas organized and clean.
• Support bartenders and servers to ensure efficient service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not required.
• Valid Texas Food Handler and TABC Certificate required (or ability to obtain prior to first shift, if applicable).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment
