Duties

• Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and styling tailored to each client’s preferences
• Utilize various tools such as straight razors, scissors, clippers, and styling products to achieve desired looks
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools according to health regulations
• Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their grooming needs and offer personalized recommendations
• Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize client flow
• Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, coloring, hair extensions, and makeup application to enhance service offerings
• Assist with retail sales of hair care products and accessories by applying retail math skills to meet sales goals
• Mentor junior team members on techniques such as hair threading, color theory, and store management practices

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
• Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY or equivalent for scheduling and client management
• Skilled in various haircutting techniques including barbering styles and hair styling methods
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper tool sterilization procedures
• Experience with hair coloring, hair extensions, makeup application, and client communication strategies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse clients
• Familiarity with store management principles and retail math for product sales success
• Ability to perform detailed services such as straight razor shaves and hair threading confidently
• Passion for ongoing learning about hair care trends, color theory, and new grooming techniques
