We have one chair available at each of our two Auckland barbershops: HSBC Store and Britomart Store.

We’re looking for a trained, motivated barber who enjoys working in a busy, creative environment alongside experienced professionals. Both locations have strong customer demand, operating at approximately 85–100% capacity.

If you’re confident cutting men’s hair, committed to delivering excellent service, and ready to work in a fully booked environment, we’d love to hear from you.

HSBC Store

Our HSBC location is one of Auckland’s highest-rated barbershops, with a 4.9-star Google rating and more than 690 reviews.

The store provides a busy but supportive environment where you’ll have the space and time to deliver a high standard of service. Our complex cuts start at $65 and are allocated 45 minutes, allowing you to focus on quality rather than rushing through appointments.

You must be available to work at least one weekend day per week, excluding approved holidays and planned time off.

Britomart Store

Our Britomart location offers premium service in a slightly more relaxed environment. The store attracts corporate clients, students from the nearby University of Auckland, and regular local customers.

This location is ideal for a barber who enjoys a laid-back atmosphere and wants to build a loyal clientele. The setting also provides an excellent opportunity to grow your professional social media presence.

What You Need to Know

• Choose between starting as a full-time employee on $32 per hour or working directly as a private contractor.

• Contractors invoice us for 50–55% of the service price, depending on the service.

• A fully booked, five-day-a-week contractor can expect to earn well over $2,000 per week once they have established a strong relationship with regular clients.

• A minimum of 18 months’ barbering experience is required.

• You must maintain a high standard of work while managing a busy schedule.

• You must hold a valid working holiday visa, New Zealand residency visa, or New Zealand passport.

Applicants who do not meet the visa or residency requirements will not be considered.
