Employed or Self-Employed Barber/ – Northern Barbers Wallasey

Northern Barbers is looking for an experienced, reliable barber to join our established shop in Wallasey.

This is a self-employed chair-rental barber position in a busy barber shop with an established local client base, Booksy bookings and regular walk-in trade.

Chair rent: £200 per week

Potential takings: £200–£300 per day, depending on hours worked, bookings and individual performance.

The role would suit a confident barber working independently and wants the freedom of being self-employed without the expense and responsibility of running their own shop.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous professional barbering experience
• Confident with skin fades, scissor work, beard trims and modern barbering
• Friendly and professional with clients
• Reliable and able to manage your own appointments
• Own professional barbering tools
• Suitable public liability insurance
• Registered, or willing to register, as self-employed
• Portfolio or examples of recent work preferred

As a self-employed barber, you will be responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, insurance and other business obligations.
