Duties

• Provide expert barbering services including haircutting, styling, beard trimming, straight razor shaves, and grooming consultations.
• Perform advanced hair styling techniques such as blowouts, updos, and textured cuts tailored to client preferences.
• Apply hair coloring techniques using color theory principles to achieve desired results while maintaining hair health.
• Offer additional beauty services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Use salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, retail sales tracking, and front desk operations.
• Engage in retail sales by recommending hair care products, retail math calculations for upselling opportunities, and educating clients on product benefits.
• Mentor junior staff members and assist with store management tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in barbering and hair styling.
• Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for booking and client management.
• Skilled in various hair techniques including coloring, extensions, blowouts, and precision cuts.
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols to uphold health standards within the salon environment.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building lasting relationships.
• Ability to perform retail sales effectively through upselling and product knowledge.
• Experience mentoring team members or assisting with store management is a plus.
