About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Barberman to join our team in Tanah Abang, Jakarta. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our clients, including haircuts, shaving, beard trimming, and styling. As a Barberman, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences whilst maintaining the standards and reputation of our establishment. This is a hands-on position where your technical expertise and interpersonal skills will be essential to success.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision haircuts, shaves, and beard grooming services using professional-grade tools and techniques
• Provide personalised grooming consultations to clients, offering recommendations based on their preferences and face shape
• Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and sanitation across all tools, equipment and work areas
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
• Keep abreast of current trends and styles in men's grooming and hairdressing
• Manage appointments and ensure clients are attended to in a timely manner
• Maintain an organised and welcoming barbershop environment
• Operate the till and process payments accurately

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barberman or in a similar men's grooming role
• Strong technical skills in cutting, styling, shaving and beard work with proficiency in various cutting techniques
• Valid barbering certification or qualification recognised in Indonesia
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele
• High standards of personal hygiene and professional presentation
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the hairdressing and beauty industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility with working hours, including potential weekend and evening shifts
• Knowledge of Indonesian grooming preferences and styles is advantageous
