Job Summary

AM Barbershop is seeking a motivated and professional individual to fill the role of Barber/Manager. This position combines hands-on barbering and hair care services with leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to lead a team while delivering exceptional grooming experiences to clients.

Duties

• Perform barbering services including haircuts, styling, and hair care treatments in accordance with client preferences and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their grooming needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
• Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling appointments, overseeing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
• Handle client inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and build lasting customer relationships to promote repeat business.
• Assist in marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by local regulations.
• Proven experience in barbering, hair styling, or related cosmetology services.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on client interaction and customer service.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage staff effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of hair care products, styling techniques, and current grooming trends.
• Responsible, dependable, and able to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if necessary.
