Bar/Duty Manager

Are you a hospitality pro who knows how to run a great bar?

65 & Dine Gastropub and Sport Bar is looking for energetic, experienced and hands-on Bar Managers to join our team in the heart of Twizel (2 positions available - permanent - 35-45 hours/week - weekend work required).

We’re a busy restaurant and bar with a strong local following, plenty of visitors passing through, and a great mix of food, drinks, live sport and events. We’re looking for someone who can be the star of the bar, be an integral part of the team, and make sure every guest gets a great experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day bar operations
• Ensure consistently high standards of service, drinks and presentation
• Maintain excellent bar hygiene and organisation
• Train new team members
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with licensing requirements
• Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for locals, visitors and regulars
• Work closely with the wider management and kitchen teams
• Be hands-on during busy services and events

About you

• Previous bar or hospitality experience (2 years minimum)
• Confident and professional
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy
• Good eye for detail and takes pride in standards
• Understands stock control, costs and bar operations
• Reliable, energetic and willing to get stuck in
• Genuine passion for hospitality
• Current Manager's Certificate
• Experience with TAB, gaming and liquor licensing compliance would be an advantage, but training can be provided
