Barista & Lounge Server

Pure Elevations is launching Denver’s premier Amsterdam-style Cannabis Coffee Shop & Social Lounge! We are bringing together specialty coffee culture, craft beverages, and social consumption in a high-end, welcoming hospitality space.

We are looking for an experienced Specialty Barista & Lounge Server to help launch and run our beverage program. In this role, you will craft specialty drinks, help create seasonal beverage offerings, provide warm service to lounge guests, and ensure our back-of-house operations run flawlessly.

Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 8am-2pm

Key Responsibilities☕ Coffee Craft & Seasonal Menu R&D

• Espresso & Beverage Prep: Dial in espresso, steam milk with proper technique/latte art, and consistently craft top-tier espresso and signature drinks.
• Menu Development: Help brainstorm, create, and update seasonal signature drinks to keep our beverage menu fresh and exciting.
• Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain stock levels for coffee beans, specialty syrups, milks, and daily coffee bar supplies.

Lounge Hospitality & Guest Experience

• Lounge Service: Greet guests, take orders in the lounge area, and provide warm, attentive service.
• Amsterdam-Style Vibe: Serve as a welcoming hospitality ambassador comfortable working in an active, legal cannabis social consumption lounge environment.

Opening Setup & Space Maintenance

• Morning Opening: Assist with morning setup across the lounge, coffee bar, and back-of-house (BOH) area to prepare for daily service.
• BOH Upkeep & Laundry: Maintain a clean BOH space, manage dishes and glassware, handle venue laundry (linens/towels), and keep the overall space spotless.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Colorado MED Badge: Must hold an active Colorado MED Occupational Badge (or be ready and eligible to obtain one prior to your first shift).
• Barista Experience: 1–2+ years of barista experience with solid knowledge of espresso extraction and milk steaming. (Experience with La Marzocco equipment is a plus, but not required—we are happy to train!).
• Cannabis-Comfortable: 21+ and completely comfortable working inside an active Amsterdam-style lounge with secondhand cannabis smoke and aromas.
• Hands-On & Multitasking: Comfortable balancing drink preparation and guest service alongside dishes, laundry, inventory checks, and BOH upkeep.
• Physical & Operational: Able to stand/move for 6–8 hour shifts, lift up to 30–40 lbs (coffee bean sacks, syrup cases, laundry bins), and operate modern POS systems.
