Barista + Bartender

Sailor is a lauded neighborhood bistro in Fort Greene, Brooklyn helmed by Chef April Bloomfield and Gabriel Stulman’s Happy Cooking Hospitality.

We enjoy working with humans who are warm, welcoming and empathetic, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and enthusiastic about being part of a team that prioritizes quality service and mindful hospitality.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Barista + Bartender who has a deep knowledge of coffee, wine, spirits, and cocktails, who can apply their experience and energy to Sailor’s bar program. In this position, availability for both Saturday and Sunday Brunch is a must. If you care as deeply about your milk steaming technique as you do about the ideal water: sugar ratio for simple syrup, we'd like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate has organizational and communications prowess to match their creative chops. Bartenders work closely with their colleagues and the leadership team to maintain an organized, efficient, clean, and delicious bar. Everyone is welcome to make creative contributions.

Ours is a bar where guests dine, so a passion for food and an interest in full-service engagement would be in alignment with our style of service.

Wine is a part of the daily conversation at Sailor. We'll be offering ongoing wine education, and we’d be well matched with a person who has a passion for it.
