Barista/ Bartender

About the role

Alcalde Craft Brewery Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista/ Bartender to join our team in Cainta, Rizal. This is a full-time position where you'll be at the heart of our brewery's hospitality operations. As a Bartender, you'll be responsible for crafting exceptional beverages, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of service and ambiance that define our craft brewery, whilst contributing directly to our business success and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and serving a diverse range of in-house craft beers, and other craft beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks to customers
2. Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, whilst providing expert recommendations based on customer preferences and our product offerings
3. Operating and handling payment transactions with accuracy and maintaining proper cash handling procedures
4. Maintaining a clean, well-organised bar workspace and front of the house, ensuring all glassware, bottles and bar tools are properly sanitised and stored, this includes the maintenance of draft system.
5. Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner to build rapport and encourage repeat visits
6. Monitoring bar stock levels and alerting management to required restocking and inventory needs
7. Following all health, safety and food hygiene regulations relevant to bar operations
8. Collaborating with other staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods
9. Learn the craft — get hands-on exposure to beer making and other craft beverages

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a Bartender or in a similar bar and beverage role within the hospitality industry is a plus
2. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively in a team environment
4. Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy service periods
5. Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local licensing laws
6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
7. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
8. Basic mathematics skills for calculating totals and handling change accurately
9. Bartending certification or relevant hospitality qualifications are advantageous
