Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
• Engage warmly with customers, taking their orders and providing excellent service to foster loyalty
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when needed
• Manage cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills for handling payments and giving change
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, notifying management when restocking is necessary
• Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests

Experience

• Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential
• Knowledge of food safety practices to uphold hygiene standards in food handling and preparation
• Serving experience that demonstrates strong communication skills and customer focus
• Basic math proficiency for processing transactions efficiently and accurately
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job
• Strong organizational skills to keep work areas tidy and supplies well-stocked
