Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as SQUARE POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and retail math to ensure correct transactions and balances
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing needs promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
• Assist with food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods as needed

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as SQUARE is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and proper serving techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment by themselves and with a team.
• Experience in operating high performance espresso machines and grinders.
• Must be able to work weekends.
