Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process retail sales transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Handle cash register operations efficiently, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light menu items while following proper food handling procedures
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly without sacrificing quality or safety standards

Experience

• Prior experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred, especially with barista duties involving coffee preparation and beverage service
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous experience with retail sales transactions, cashiering, or beverage service will set you up for success in this energetic role

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
