Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas in compliance with food safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist in food handling and preparation tasks to support food safety protocols and ensure timely service.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
• Strong background in retail sales transactions, cashiering, and cash handling ensures accuracy in processing payments.
• Knowledge of POS systems enhances efficiency during busy hours.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service with positive communication skills.
• Basic math skills are essential for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations accurately.
• Experience with food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is required to maintain health standards.
• Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
