Southern Grounds is a chef-driven, hospitality-focused café known for quality coffee, fresh food, and a welcoming guest experience. We are looking for a dependable Barista to join our team and help create memorable moments for every customer who walks through the door.

Position Overview

As a Barista, you will prepare and serve coffee, tea, and beverages with care, accuracy, and genuine hospitality. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in excellent service, and is excited to be part of a team-oriented café.

Schedule

Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other café beverages to Southern Grounds quality standards.
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate the pointofsale system and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and wellstocked café workspace.
• Support prep tasks such as brewing coffee and tea, stocking items, and setting up service areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a guestfirst attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fastpaced setting.
• Basic math skills for order taking and payment processing.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work Monday through Friday.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform standard café duties throughout a shift.
