Barista

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and customer-focused Experienced Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a deep appreciation for specialty coffee, exceptional milk-texturing and espresso extraction skills, and a proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced cafe environment. You will be an ambassador of our brand, delivering top-tier beverages while creating a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Beverage Preparation: Craft a consistent, high-volume menu of espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, teas, and specialty beverages to strict quality and recipe standards.
• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, make menu recommendations, and handle transactions with efficiency and a positive attitude.
• Dialing in & Quality Control: Perform daily grinder calibrations, taste espresso shots, and adjust recipes based on bean age, humidity, and equipment performance.
• Milk Craftsmanship: Demonstrate mastery in microfoam creation and latte art.
• Station Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, organized, and sanitary bar station, adhering strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the shift.
• Inventory & Restocking: Monitor stock levels of beans, milk, syrups, and cups, restocking the front-of-house proactively and communicating shortages to management.
• Team Collaboration: Support co-workers during peak rushes, assist with opening/closing duties, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of [1–2+ years] of hands-on experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of espresso machine operations, grinder adjustments, and manual brewing methods.
• Latte Art: Demonstrated proficiency in pouring standard and advanced latte art patterns.
• Time Management: Ability to multitask, stay calm, and maintain quality under high-pressure, fast-paced rushes.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
