Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently using a cash register, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries or light snacks.
• Promote sales by suggesting menu items and upselling products to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of different coffee types is preferred.
• Experience in food preparation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Proficiency in cash handling and retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently while managing multiple orders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
• Attention to detail in both drink preparation and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service.
