Barista

Dalian's Café is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista to support daily café operations. This role involves preparing coffee and other beverages, taking customer orders, handling routine transactions, answering menu questions, and maintaining a clean and organized beverage station. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable providing welcoming service in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages according to established procedures.
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm special requests when needed.
• Operate the POS system and process customer payments accurately.
• Answer general questions about beverages, menu items, and café offerings.
• Maintain clean and organized beverage stations, counters, equipment, and service areas.
• Replenish coffee, milk, cups, lids, napkins, ingredients, and other café supplies.
• Help organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout service.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain smooth order flow.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other routine café duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, coffee shop, restaurant, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Interest in coffee and beverage preparation.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Good attention to beverage quality, order accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Able to learn POS systems, beverage procedures, and café operations.
• Willingness to follow company policies and established service standards.
