Barista

Pay: $16.94 - $17.50 per hour

We’re a brand-new bakery-café opening in downtown New Haven, and we’re looking for a friendly, reliable Barista to join our team from day one.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in making great coffee, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.

Schedule

Part-time

Morning and daytime availability required. Saturday availability is a plus.

What you’ll do

• Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages
• Take customer orders and process payments
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other café items
• Keep the coffee bar and customer areas clean and organized
• Restock supplies and help with opening and closing tasks
• Work closely with our small team during daily service

What we’re looking for

• Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred
• Experience with espresso machines and grinders is a plus
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work efficiently during busy periods
• Strong attention to cleanliness and presentation
• Food Handler certification a plus
