Barista

Càphê Roasters is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, preparing and serving beverages, handling routine transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a busy café team.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and assist with basic menu questions.
• Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages according to café procedures.
• Operate the POS system and process customer payments accurately.
• Communicate orders and special requests clearly with café team members.
• Keep counters, service stations, tables, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Replenish coffee, cups, lids, napkins, packaging, and other café supplies.
• Assist with food and beverage service during busy periods.
• Support opening, closing, and routine daily café duties.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers to maintain efficient service.

Qualifications

• Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly and professional communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and order details.
• Able to learn beverage preparation and POS procedures.
• Willingness to learn café menu items and company procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
