Barista & Market Assistant – OG Coffee Roasters (Weekend Position)

Location: Brooklyn Flea Market (Weekends)Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays (early mornings through afternoon)Pay: Based on experience

OG Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee company focused on serving high-quality Colombian coffee with exceptional customer service. We’re looking for an energetic, reliable, and friendly team member to help us deliver an outstanding experience at our weekend pop-up markets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and iced beverages.
• Steam milk and maintain consistent drink quality.
• Grind, dial in, and monitor espresso throughout the day.
• Take customer orders and process payments.
• Engage with customers and share the story behind our coffee.
• Help set up and break down the market booth.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and food-safe.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory throughout the day.
• Work efficiently during busy rushes while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Lift and move equipment, water containers, and supplies (up to 50 lbs).

Qualifications

• Barista experience is preferred but not required—we’re happy to train someone with the right attitude.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Passion for coffee and willingness to learn.

Bonus Skills

• Experience using La Marzocco espresso machines.
• Latte art experience.
• Knowledge of specialty coffee.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
