Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas regularly to uphold food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give accurate change while balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with beverage preparation is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems; basic math skills are essential for cash handling.
• Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude; ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation and cleaning routines. Must be able to lift 45lbs.
• Food service experience, including processing cash transactions and operating cash registers, is advantageous.
