Barista

Cafe Calle is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista to support daily café operations. This role involves preparing coffee and other beverages, welcoming customers, taking orders, maintaining beverage stations, and helping provide an enjoyable café experience. The ideal candidate is attentive, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages according to café procedures.
• Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS system as needed.
• Answer basic questions about beverages, menu items, and café offerings.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with team members.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, beverage stations, and equipment.
• Monitor and replenish coffee, milk, cups, lids, napkins, and other café supplies.
• Assist with food and beverage service during busy periods.
• Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Support dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders as needed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine café duties.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Work cooperatively with baristas and other café team members.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, coffee shop, restaurant, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Interest in coffee and beverage preparation.
• Friendly and professional approach to customer service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Able to learn beverage preparation, POS systems, and café procedures.
• Willingness to follow instructions and support the café team.
