Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Handle retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling and processing cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices, to uphold health standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
• Manage beverage service from order taking to drink presentation, ensuring timely delivery during busy periods.
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety guidelines and hygiene protocols.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a lively environment.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred; passion for coffee and beverage preparation is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Previous café or retail sales experience is desirable but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
