Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, give change, and balance registers at the end of shifts.
• Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently.
• Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light cleaning duties, and handle food safely according to health regulations.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
• Experience in beverage service, drink preparation, or café environments will be advantageous.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to food safety standards at all times.
