Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring their satisfaction with every visit.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Multitasking skills are helpful.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.75 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 12.0 per week
