About us

We are an independent speciality coffee shop group with branches in Twickenham and Surbiton, known for great coffee, good food and a warm welcome. Our teams are small, friendly and busy, and many of our customers are regulars.

The role

We are recruiting two baristas for our Twickenham branch to join the team from the week commencing 26th October 2026. One position averages four shifts a week (roughly 20 to 30 hours) and the other averages three to four shifts a week (roughly 15 to 25 hours).

• Positions: two
• Contract: casual, zero hours
• Typical hours: Position 1: around four shifts a week (20 to 30 hours). Position 2: around three to four shifts a week (15 to 25 hours)
• Start: week commencing 26th October 2026
• Pay: £8.00 to £12.71 per hour depending on age

What you will be doing

• Making and serving espresso based drinks, filter coffee and tea to a consistent standard
• Greeting customers, taking orders and handling payments accurately
• Serving food and keeping the counter, seating area and back of house clean and tidy
• Opening and closing duties, restocking and following food hygiene and allergen procedures
• Working as part of a small, busy team at peak times

What we are looking for

• A friendly, confident manner with customers
• Reliability and good timekeeping
• Barista experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is given
• Hospitality, retail or other customer facing experience is an advantage
• Availability at weekends and throughout the Christmas and New Year period

Pay

• Under 18: £8.00 per hour
• 18 to 20: £10.85 per hour
• 21 and over: £12.71 per hour

Holiday pay, workplace pension (where eligible) and full barista training.

How the role works

These are casual, zero hours roles. There are no guaranteed hours and shifts are offered as and when required. Any average hours quoted reflect current trading and are a guide only.

Christmas availability

All new starters must be available to work throughout the Christmas and New Year period, including weekends and bank holidays. Existing team members have priority for time off over Christmas, so holiday requests from new starters cannot be accepted for that period.
