Barista

Coffee Enlightenment is a specialty coffee shop and micro-roastery focused on quality coffee, genuine human connection, and creating an experience that goes beyond simply serving a drink.

We are looking for a barista who cares about people, quality, and the details that make a coffee shop run well.

At Coffee Enlightenment, being a barista is more than making drinks. You are responsible for the guest experience, the quality and consistency of every product you prepare, and the cleanliness and organization of the space around you.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive, and genuine service.
• Prepare espresso drinks, pour-overs, cold brew, matcha, and other beverages according to our recipes and quality standards.
• Learn about our coffees, origins, processing methods, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques so you can confidently guide customers.
• Work with precision and consistency, even during busy periods.
• Keep the bar, equipment, workstations, café, and customer areas clean and organized throughout the entire shift.
• Restock, prep ingredients, wash dishes, handle POS transactions, and complete opening and closing responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and contribute to an efficient, respectful work environment.
• Take ownership of your station and recognize what needs to be done without always waiting to be asked.

• Interested in specialty coffee and developing deeper coffee knowledge.

Previous barista or specialty coffee experience is a plus, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are equally important. We provide training in our coffee, equipment, recipes, and standards.

Coffee Enlightenment is a hands-on environment. Everyone contributes to making drinks, serving guests, cleaning, organizing, restocking, and maintaining the shop.

Pay: $12.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
