We are a neighborhood café and bakery in Castro Valley and Alameda dedicated to serving handcrafted coffee, fresh pastries, and a warm atmosphere for our local community. We take pride in quality ingredients, welcoming customer service, and creating a great space for morning regulars and afternoon visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve handcrafted espresso beverages, pour-overs, and specialty drinks to brand standards.
• Welcome guests, take orders at the register, and process payments accurately.
• Assist with bakery display setup, stock fresh pastry cases, and warm food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, including counter spaces, dining area, and espresso equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock products throughout the shift.
• Follow all safe food handling and sanitation guidelines.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Prior experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person (a passion for coffee and a willingness to learn are required).
• Skills: Friendly, reliable, and possesses strong communication, active listening, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: Current California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire).
• Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and potential holidays.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
