Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company standards.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed to maintain cleanliness and compliance.
• Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions with basic math skills.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work station, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering queries, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality or service standards.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
• Add to our social media, come up with new ideas and be part of our videos that help grow Masala Bites

Experience

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is advantageous.
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps ensure confidence in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques can be beneficial.
• Basic mathematical skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
• Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
