Job Summary

Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Cafe is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Barista to join the café team. The ideal candidate will prepare quality coffee and specialty beverages, assist with dessert and café service, welcome guests, maintain a clean workspace, and support smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, specialty beverages, and other café drinks
• Follow established recipes and beverage preparation standards
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Operate the POS system and process payments accurately
• Assist with preparing and serving desserts, pastries, and other café menu items
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion standards
• Answer questions about beverages, desserts, ingredients, and menu options
• Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service stations, and work areas
• Clean and sanitize coffee equipment, utensils, counters, and preparation areas
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, food items, packaging, and other supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Monitor supplies and communicate low-stock items to management
• Support team members during busy service periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily café cleaning duties
• Handle guest requests and concerns politely and professionally
• Perform other duties assigned by café management

Requirements

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, dessert shop, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
• Good attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and detail
• Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus
• Ability to follow recipes and established procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
