Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, processing payments and giving correct change while maintaining balanced cash drawers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, equipment sanitation, and general tidiness to uphold food safety standards.
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about beverages and food offerings, and provide outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Support food preparation tasks related to beverage service and light food items, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within the food industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation techniques and coffee experience.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Commitment to food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
