About the Role

Supreme Beans by Seated Together is looking for friendly, reliable, and community-driven baristas to join our team. As a Barista and Cafe Associate, you’ll help create a welcoming space for guests while preparing quality drinks and maintaining a clean, cozy café environment. Ideal candidates enjoy connecting with customers and take pride in their work.

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, smoothies, and blended beverages to recipe standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing equipment.
• Customize drinks based on customer preferences and dietary requests (e.g., alternative milks, sugar-free syrups).

Food Preparation

• Prepare hot and cold breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, and flatbreads.
• Use basic cooking equipment such as panini presses, toasters, and microwave ovens.
• Ensure all items meet presentation and food safety standards.
• Accurately portion ingredients and follow recipes.

Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Answer menu questions and make product recommendations.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally.

Cleanliness and Organization

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, equipment, dining area, and restrooms.
• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen and café equipment.
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift.

Teamwork and Communication

• Work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively during busy periods.
• Assist with training new employees when needed.
• Uphold a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Contribute to social media presence by highlighting menu items, customers, or events.

Requirements

• Previous barista or café experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work early mornings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-first mindset.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse customer base.

About the Role
Options for seasonal or on-call schedules are available. On-call (or <24 hour call-in) includes additional hourly wages.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
