Barista

We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and customer-focused Barista to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and organized workstation, handle customer orders accurately, and ensure consistent beverage quality.

Job Description

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, and other hot and cold beverages.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments where required.
• Recommend beverages and provide information about menu items to customers.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality, presentation, and portion standards.
• Prepare espresso-based drinks such as cappuccino, latte, Americano, mocha, and macchiato.
• Perform basic latte art and ensure attractive beverage presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar, equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
• Assist with inventory checks and report low-stock or damaged items.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
• Handle customer requests, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Clean and perform basic maintenance on coffee machines and other equipment.
• Support other café or restaurant operations when required.
• Work effectively with other baristas, kitchen staff, servers, and management.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for customers.

Requirements/Skills

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO; relevant hospitality or barista training is an advantage.
• Proven years of experience as a Barista or in a similar hospitality role.
• Good knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage-making techniques.
• Ability to operate espresso machines and other café equipment.
• Basic knowledge of latte art is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay: ₦120,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
