Barista

Overview

We are a new restaurant and cafe, Krave, looking for experienced baristas to help create not only drinks provided but help influence creations of new drinks. Please apply within in person at 22000 23 Mile Rd. Macomb, MI 48042 or on our website at www.kravebrunch.com

Duties

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient retail sales transactions
• Process cash and card payments accurately while maintaining excellent cash handling practices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and beverage service zones
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally
• Handle food safety and food handling procedures diligently to ensure compliance with health standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall café operations and ensuring timely service

Experience

• Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with beverage preparation and customer interaction
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for smooth transaction processing
• Strong retail math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, giving correct change, and managing sales data
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques to ensure a safe environment for all guests
